"Time Travelers" is a 12-episode historical TV documentary which describes the culture, atmosphere and customs of different historical periods in Europe , from the Roman Empire to the beginning of the 20th century by reconstructing the daily lives of several ordinary people.

The format includes: short scenes that reconstruct ancient daily life using actors, costumes and objects of the epochs depicted; 3-D computer simulations of ancient cities and villages; present-day images of cities and villages; interviews with experts, archeologists and researchers; and an explanation of the evolution of costumes, lifestyle, rites and habits. The first episode describes the life in Italy, both in large cities and small villages, in the Low Middle Ages and the Roman Empire.
